The Revelation Perth International Film Festival will partner with the
City of Vincent for the 2017 City of Vincent Film Project.

The City of Vincent Film Project is an opportunity for filmmakers to tell stories in and about the City of Vincent, and the City will provide a total of $15,000 to fund three short documentaries.
 
Revelation Film Festival Director Richard Sowada said the project wanted to hear ideas from filmmakers of any level.
 
“Vincent’s wealth of subject matter – local characters, urban legends, extraordinary community groups, local history, businesses that operate in special ways plus facilities and parks - hold special meanings to its community,” Richard said.
 
“Revelation and the City of Vincent want to use this unique initiative to see people’s perspectives and hear their stories.
 
“Revelation has been moving more and more toward working directly with filmmakers in commissioning and producing works and in being an active contributor to the creative life of the community.
 
“It’s deeply rewarding to be a facilitator of these conversations.
 
“This initiative is a perfect partnership for us.”
 
The City of Vincent Film Project is now calling for submissions, with a closing date of
1 November.
 
Submissions will be considered by a panel of industry professionals, and representatives of the City of Vincent and the Revelation Perth International Film Festival.
 
Successful applicants will be expected to commence production in January, and the three completed films will screen as part of the 2018 Revelation Perth International Film Festival in July.
 
In an added bonus for filmmakers, their works be available to international audiences through REVonDEMAND – Revelation’s own on-demand platform.
