Complete programme of the 8th CinEast film festival Luxembourg announced

complete programme as well as the films in competition, jury members and events highlights of the 8th edition of CinEast (Central and Eastern European Film Festival in Luxembourg, 8-25 October 2015) have been published today on the festival’s website www.cineast.lu and can be downloaded via this link.

 

 

The seven films in the official competition of CinEast 2015 are: Babai by Visar Morina, Body by Malgorzata Szumowska, Family Film by Olmo Omerzu, In the Crosswind by Martti Helde, Self-Portrait of a Dutiful Daughter by Ana Lungu, Son of Saul by László Nemes and The Cleaner by Peter Bebjak (more info here).

 

The International Jury is composed of: Andrzej Zulawski (Polish film director, president), Ina Ivanceanu (Austrian film director), Alexandra Hoesdorff (Luxembourgish producer), Yann Tonnar (Luxembourgish director and producer) and Vicky Krieps (Luxembourgish actor). The newly introduced Press Jury, awarding the Critics’ Prize, is composed of film critics Thibaut Demeyer, Brigitte Lepage and Antonio Raul Reis. The Awards Ceremony will be held on 23 October.

 

The CinEast 2015 festival will be held in a dozen venues across Luxembourg and will present 57 features and more than 40 short film from 18 CEE countries, about 20 guests, 4 concerts (including a live soundtrack), 2 DJ events, a large photography exhibition (“Urban Stories”), 2 debates (on immigration and urbanism), screenings for children, an evening dedicated to Andrzej Zulawski, a co-production workshop for film professionals and more.

 

Among the special guests attending CinEast 2015: Želimir Žilnik (Serbian film director, Logbook Serbistan), Andrzej Zulawski (Cosmos, Possession), Ivaylo Hristov (Bulgarian director and actor, Losers), Andrea Sedláčková (Czech director, Fair Play), Andrzej Chyra (Polish actor, Carte Blanche, The Collector), Danijel Hočevar (Slovenian producer, Home), Julija Steponaityte (Lithuanian actor, The Summer of Sangaile), Martti Helde (Estonian director, In the Crosswind), Gábor Hörcher (Hungarian director and producer, Drifter) etc.
