Awards of the 8th International Film Festival of Peloponnese "Bridges" 2017

The final curtain of the 8th International Film Festival went down with a brilliant ceremony in the crowded room of Vouleftiko in Nafplio October 22nd. The jury and the winners,(bruno chatelin was in th ejury and filmfestivals.com a partner of the festival)

The program started with an amazing performance of music soundtrack adaptations by the Educative Association Holy Trinity under the coaching and conducting by Theolena Piki, Choirmaster and Professor of the Municipal Conservatory of Nafplio. The ceremony was presented by the actress, Eleni Petropoulou. The audiovisual part was by Socrates Lambropoulos, Director of Studies for the GLOBAL ARTS, Laboratories of Liberal Studies, in Corinth.

There were greeting videos by the acclaimed directors, Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola, who collaborated with the cinematographer, Bill Butler. Following, the Golden Pegasos Award was given by the Mayor of Nafplio, Dimitri Kostouros and the founder, filmmaker and director of the festival "Bridges", Mrs Petra Terzi. An honorary video was presented and an honorary award was given to the director, Mr Costas Ferris, for his contribution to the Greek Cinema by the Mayor of Nafplio, Dimitri Kostouros. Mrs Petra Terzi pointed out that the entire organization is mainly based on voluntary work and she warmly thanked the sponsors of the festival, the Hellenic Organization of Tourism and supporters of this year’s organization, the Municipality of Nafplio, the Municipal Organization of Culture, Environment, Sport and Tourism, the maestro of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nafplio and the women's choir "Symphony", Mr Theodosis Antoniadis, the maestro of the kid’s choir and the Choir Lab of Nafplio, Mr Gianni Nikolopoulos, the winery Koronioti, which offered gifts to the directors who participated, the hotel and accommodation club, Iliadi, Ippoliti, Nafsimedon and 3sixty, the students Theater Studies at the University of Peloponnese, the agents of the Cinematic Lab “Pegasos”, the director of photography, Nektarios Souldatos, the directors Christos Ketikidis and Gio Kaptra, Mr Kostas Spiliotis, the graphic designer Michael Gkialas, the official photographer of the film festival, Thomas Giannakis, Mr Manos Stathopoulos for the technical and audiovisual cover of the screenings and the parallel events and the volunteers Eleni Oulani, Olga Dimou and Elina Mazioti for being the soul of the festival before and during the official festival period. In addition, the sponsors of communication, ERT 2, ERT of the Prefecture, Argolis News, DRT TV. The participants of the awards ceremony, Giannis Nikolopoulos, maestro, Theodosis Spanideas- Director of the Progressive Association, “O Palamidis”, Mrs Kalliopi Kalkounou, Roula Saltapida, Rena Lykou, Olympia Mitilinaiou and Mrs Kalliroi Karamanou. A large number of people attended as well as the Chairman of the board of the Choirs N. Kostakitsis and the priest Father Kyriakos.

The ceremony ended with the screening of the video by the sponsor Hellenic Organization of Tourism and the screenings of the two short films created by the Cinematic Lab of the festival, “Pegasos”; the short film “A moment of life”, filmed at Loutraki and the short film “Bridges of Culture” at Nafplio.

The independent Jury of the short films consists of Theodoros Neofotistos- cinephile, Socrates Lambropoulos- visual artist, Chrysa Ntae- communication specialist, Babis Charalambous- director, the Artistic Team “Proskinio” of Nafplio, Alexander Milonas- directors, Maria Ntoupi- cinephile, Memi Koupa- director, Katia Gkoulioni- actress, Iris Baglanea- actress and George Lambropoulos, musician and cinephile.
