The first Thessaloniki Goes to Cannes of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival with the collaboration of the Greek Film Center. Please note that you need a Market Badge to enter (otherwise contact us).

2 documentaries and 3 feature fiction films in post-production will be showcased during the Marché du Film, Festival de Cannes, looking for post-production funds, sales agents, buyers, distributors and festival screenings. Film extracts of the selection will be presented at the screening.

1. Λ.Π. (Documentary) | Greece
Λ.Π is a documentary about Lena Platonos, a world pioneer in electronic music. Following her life story we go back to Greece in the 80’s when her art works were made, with the help of her collaborators and musicians from all over the world.

2. DOLPHIN MAN (Documentary) | Greece, France, Canada, Japan, Italy
The extraordinary legacy and complex life story of Jacques Mayol,  the greatest free-diver in recorded history, whose life became the inspiration for Luc Besson’s cult-movie Le Grand Bleu.

3.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Fiction) | Greece, France, Cyprus, Germany
Last night riot policeman Giorgos and his teenage daughter Margarita faced each other in the riots. Will a few days at their country home help them save their relationship or just make things worst?

4.  POLYXENI (Fiction) | Greece
A family of strangers, a foster homeland, and a doomed romance. She was a pauper and an heiress. A girl whose greatest misfortune was to be blessed. 

5.  VIRUS (Fiction) | Greece, France, Latvia
Anna and Petros, a Greek couple living in Siberia, is faced with the mysterious event of Anna being pregnant with no prior intercourse. The questions raised are relentless; was she cheating? Is she the victim of a conspiracy?  Or a Saint?
