Submit your film to REGIOFUN!

The film submissions to the competition will be accepted online till July 31st 2013.

With the beginning of April starts the film submission to the 4th edition of the International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN and it will last till June 31st. REGIOFUN is the only festival in Europe that awards producers. It also joins the regions and funds according to the perspective subordinated to the producers. The prize is € 25 000.
REGIOFUN is the only event in Europe dedicated to films, which were made owing to the support of regional film funds and the help of various cities.
The festival organizer, that is the SILESIA FILM Institute, welcomes both the international and the national films, which were produced either thanks to regional funds or thanks to the support of other regional and municipal funding. Feature films, documentaries or animations produced after December 31st 2010 may be submitted by the producers for two competitions: a full-length (over 60 minutes) and short and medium-length feature. The prize in each of the competitions is € 10 000. The winner of the audience award will receive € 5 000.

The International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN is the result of perceiving the United Europe cinema in such a way, in which the regions – their cultural identity and their investment potential – form a powerful force. The festival has taken place in Katowice since 2010 and it is the one and only professional festival in Poland where the European (and not only) film producers meet and at the same time it is opened to the audience and cinemaniacs. As part of a festival, there are to be held retrospectives of the films supported by individual film funds (2010: Wallimage from Wallonia/ Belgium; 2011:CRAVV from Nord-Pas de Calais/France; 2012:Film-und-Medienstiftung NRW from the North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany), the workshops of a Young Producer, Look For Fund Forum conducted according to 1:1 formula, branch meetings, and what is more, a competition in which the international jury and the audience will financially award the producers. In 2012 Eddie Saeta, the producer of “ The Stoning of Saint Steven” directed by Pere Vila Barcelo, was awarded for the best full-length feature film.
“A bold choice of the producer, no compromises as to the form and content. The jury consentaneously wishes to express its appreciation for the Region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur for its unanimous support for the humanistic cinema as the region promotion”.

The fourth edition of the festival will be held this year, from 22nd to 27th October. The film submissions to the competition will be accepted online from April 10th to July 31st 2013. The form can be found atwww.regiofun.pl
