Feature Films |
Feature Films are over 50 minutes in length. |
Documentary Films |
Documentary Features are over 50 minutes in length. Documentaries under 50 minutes should be submitted in the Short Films category. |
Short Films |
Short Films are films of any genre, form, or category as long as they are under 50 minutes in length. |
Nevada Films |
Films that meet at least one of the following categories:
(1) Filmed in the State of Nevada.
(2) Are about the history and culture of Nevada or Las Vegas.
(3) Key cast or crew (director, producer, screenwriter, lead actors) from Nevada. |
Music Videos |
A filmed or videotaped rendition of a recorded song or musical composition of any form. |
Screenplay Competition |
Awards are given for the top three Best Screenplays in competition for feature length screenplays, over 75 pages in length. Official Finalists and Honorable Mentions are selected as well. |

Dedicated to showcasing and promoting the finest quality films and screenplays that the entertainment world has to offer, our mission is to bridge the gap between independent film audiences and filmmakers, as well as to connect emerging filmmakers with established industry professionals.

The Las Vegas Film Festival is Las Vegas’ premiere film event, taking place annually in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world. Dedicated to showcasing the finest American and international cinema the world has to offer, our mission is to bridge the gap between independent film audiences and filmmakers, as well as to connect emerging filmmakers with established industry professionals.
The festival offers a variety of film screenings from Oscar-winning films to world premieres, exclusive celebrity tributes and interviews, interactive panel discussions, a screenplay competition, red carpet parties, a filmmaker reception, as well as a closing night ceremony and awards.
The Festival showcases Feature Films, Shorts, Foreign Films, Documentaries, Animation, Music Videos, Television Pilots, a Nevada Filmmakers Showcase, Experimental Films, a Screenplay Competition and more..

AWARDS AND CASH PRIZES
This year's festival will see over $10,000 in cash and prizes given away to the winning filmmakers and screenwriters. Juried and audience awards are given in several categories to celebrate achievements in filmmaking, screenwriting and acting including cash prizes for the Grand Jury Award, the Jury Award and the top three screenplay finalists. GENERAL RULES
DVDs must be clearly labeled with title of film and contact information.
All foreign entries should be clearly marked on the package as "No Commercial Value - For Cultural Purposes Only"
DVDs will not be returned unless a prepaid envelope is provided with the submission.
More than one entry may be submitted. Each entry must be submitted separately.
The filmmaker will assume shipping costs of material and print to LVFF.
Selected filmmakers are expected to provide: film stills, director photo, synopsis, full production credits, director biography.
Films produced in languages other than English must have legible English subtitles or be dubbed in English.
Entrants are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, permits necessary to present their work.
The selection committees' and juries' decisions are final.
Entry fee is nonrefundable.
LVFF reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or festival scheduling.
