The Tiny House Project / Feb 17 – 19, 2024 “Talking about Israel and Palestine”
The Tiny House “Talking about Israel and Palestine” invites everyone interested to engage in dialogue about the Middle East conflict and its impact on our society. The initiator of this project, which was launched in December 2023, is social entrepreneur and presenter Shai Hoffmann.
Shai Hoffmann is German-Jewish with Israeli roots. Together with the Palestinian Ahmad Dakhnous (Co-founder of the initiative “Connect! Syrian Diaspora”), he will accompany the discussions in the Tiny House. “How do we talk about Israel and Palestine in this country? This is just one of the many questions we want to explore with the dialogue offer at the Tiny House. We want to take a seat under a small roof to talk openly about this complex topic,” says Shai Hoffmann.
The event will be accompanied by Hoffmann’s podcast of the same name, “Talking about Israel and Palestine”, in which he together with experts explores the question of how thinking, talking and debating about Israel and Palestine from a German perspective can be made more constructive again.
The Tiny House will be set up at the Potsdamer Platz, on the corner of Tilla-Durieux-Park from Saturday, February 17 until Monday, February 19.
Access: A maximum of four to six people can be in the Tiny House at the same time. These meetings are not defined by fixed beginning or ends, but rather as a dialogue with changing participants. Interested parties can drop by at any time during opening hours and enter the Tiny House depending on the availability of places. The length of stay is up to each visitor. The principle corresponds to the Open House – come and go. The talks are held in German.
Opening Hours: Saturday, February 17 from 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm Sunday, February 18 from 12.30 pm – 5.00 pm Monday, February 19 from 10.30 am – 2.30 pm
