Foresight Unlimited Takes International Sales Rights on Michael Mailer's BLIND

Mark Damon’s Foresight Unlimited announced today that they will be handling international sales on Michael Mailer’s (The Ledge, Seduced and Abandoned) drama Blind, starring Alec Baldwin (The Departed, Concussion), Demi Moore (Ghost, A Few Good Men), and Dylan McDermott (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Olympus Has Fallen) at the upcoming EFM. Mailer directed and produced alongside Diane Fisher, Jennifer Gelfer, Pamela Thur, and Martin Tuchman. Foresight’s Mark Damon and Tamara Birkemoe executive produced alongside Baldwin and Mallory Schwartz. Foresight Unlimited and CAA are representing the U.S. rights.

Penned by John Buffalo Mailer (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, W.), Blind, which is currently in post-production, tells the story of bestselling novelist Bill Oakland (Baldwin), who loses his wife and his sight in a vicious car crash. Five years later socialite Suzanne Dutchman (Moore) is forced to read to Bill in an intimate room three times a week as a plea bargain for being associated with her husband Mark's (McDermott) insider trading. A passionate affair ensues, forcing both Bill and Suzanne to question whether or not it’s ever too late to find true love. But when Suzanne’s husband is let out on a technicality, she is forced to choose between the man she loves and the man she built a life with. Torn between her old love and her new flame, Suzanne must decide whether she should fall back on the familiar or follow her heart.

“Alec, Demi, and Dylan all deliver such raw and powerful performances in the story they tell,” said Foresight’s Mark Damon. “Blind will be sure to captivate audiences around the world through Michael’s vision of overcoming adversity and finding love where one least expects it.”

Blind marks the second collaboration between Baldwin and Moore, who starred together in 1996 in Brian Gibson’s The Juror and similarly the second joint foray from Mailer and Damon who collaborated on Matthew Chapman's The Ledge starring Charlie Hunnam, Terrence Howard, and Liv Tyler.

With a vast sales slate scheduled for Berlin, Foresight Unlimited will be introducing Blind to buyers alongside the recently announced Category 5, which Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious) is directing. The Foresight Unlimited slate includes: the Neil Bogart biopic Spinning Gold starring Emmy® and Grammy Award® winner Justin Timberlake and the $130M sci-fi epic Inversion
