Coen Brothers at Film Forum "You betcha!"

Film Forum hosts a retrospective of the Coen Brothers' complete filmography this week, culminating with a sneak preview of their latest Hail, Caesar! ahead of its Berlinale 2016 opening-night premiere.

From 1984's Blood Simple to 2013's Inside Llewyn Davis, Joel and Ethan Coen have achieved both box office success and art-house relevance, a negotiation increasingly rare in American cinema.  The paradox was clear in 2015 though they released no film, but remained busy: serving as Cannes Jury Presidents and co-writers of Spielberg's blockbuster Bridge of Spies.

Equally rare are screenings of all their films in 35mm.
Through February 4th at Film Forum.
