Carnaby International plays Football and Hangman...

CARNABY INTERNATIONAL PLAYS FOOTBALL AND HANGMAN!

GRABS TWO MORE FILMS FOR AFM SALES:LONDON TOWN and HE WILL HANG

Carnaby International today announced two more pictures under its multi-picture deal with Martin Scorsese's TOMORROW producer and writer Stuart Brennan, according to co-CEO Sean O’Kelly.

Financed by Imaginarium Tower, Carnaby International has picked up sales on football (soccer to us Yanks) drama LONDON TOWN, to be penned by Brennan and produced by Studio 82, with fellow TOMORROW producer Dean Woodford. Shooting is set for February 2015 in Philadelphia, Brazil and the UK and will revolve around an aging player and his move to a Premiere League Club, after a stint in the MLS. Casting is imminent.

O’Kelly says the second picture shooting next year will be the period thriller HE WILL HANG, based on a new adult novel by UK-based children’s author Terry Deary. Since 1994, Deary he has been one of Britain's best-selling authors. This film centers around one of the last men set to be sentenced to death for murder in the UK the old-fashioned way—by hanging—at the turn of the 20th century, and one reporter’s desperate struggle to find the truth behind the convictions before the sentence is carried out. Brennan will both direct the film and adapt Deary’s novel, which is set to be published simultaneously with the film’s UK release in late 2015. Producers are the Scottish team behind Brennan’s current directorial effort (and Carnaby-repped title), the zombie horror film PLAN Z, Mark Paul Wake and David Izatt.  Casting is underway on HE WILL HANG as well.

“Stuart Brennan is a truly prolific talent and Carnaby are extremely proud to have concluded this multi-title deal with him,” said Sean O'Kelly Co-CEO of Carnaby International.

With two world premieres, eight films in production, as well as its first-ever major television series, Carnaby International are attending their second American Film Market this November with a high profile, varied line-up of exciting titles—and a growing reputation for pulling in A-list talent.

Joint Carnaby co-CEOs Andrew Loveday and Sean O’Kelly, along with Director of International Sales Tania Sarra and Head of Acquisitions Alex Tate, are in Santa Monica for AFM this November.
