ASCOT:

PolyGram Film Intrnational announced a multi-picture deal with Ascot Elite Films of Switzerland. Carl Clifton, PFI's vice president, international sales said to be "very pleased with Elite's excellent handling of our films in Switzerland."

The deal

The deal includes such titles as Barry Levinson's Sleepers, Michael Cohn's Snow White in the Black Forest, and Paul Michael Glaser's Kazaam.

Ascot Elite also acquired Nadia Tass' My Entire Life as well as Michael Winterbottom's Jude.

TRANS ATLANTIC:

Principal photography is schduled to begin this Spring on Trans Atlantic entertainment and Evergreen Entertainment's Murder in Mind, starring Nigel Hawthorne and Mary-Louise Parker. Directed by Andrew Morahan, from a screnplay by Michael Cooney, this psychological thriller is produced by Story Teller Films. Shooting will take place on Los Angeles locations.

Dirctor Andrew Morahan (Highlander III) will helm the suspense thriller, based on a play by Michael Cooney (Jack Frost). Th film will be internationally distributed through Trans Atlantic Entertainment.

PRISM:

Prism Entertainment Corporation announced the appointment of Gary Rubin to president of Prim Pictures, as well as the appointment of Nancy Lund vice president international sales.

"These changes reflect the company's intent on strngthening its management team in anticipation of submitting a Plan of Re-organisation to emerge from current Chapter 11 proceedings," stated Barry Collier, chairman and CEO of Prism Entertainment Corporation.

Los Angeles-based Prism Entertainment Corporation and its subsidiaries are ingaged in the in-house production and acquisition of rights to theatrical and television films and other programming for distribution to home video, pay and basic cable, network television and syndication markets both domestic and foreign.

INTERNET:

PolyGram Filmed Entertainment is unveiling real lifre on the Internet's World Wide Web.

As Beth Goss, senior director marketing at PFE, explained the "real Life" website takes visitors on a tour through a cyberspace movie set. It offers a behind-the-scenes gateway for visitors to explore the development of such PFE titles as Dead Man Walking, Fargo, Fremch Kiss, Loch Ness, Mr Holland's Opus and The Usual Suspects.

ReelAudio and other multimedia capabilities will be employed to enhance the visitor's experience.
