- Amsterdam-based Fortissimo Film Sales announced that rights to Alex van Warmerdam's De jurk (The Dress), following the lifecycle of a dress from its creation to its destruction, were sold to PolyGram in the Benelux and ARP in France.
Upon arrival at the AFM, Fortissimo's Wouter Barendrecht further announced that Holland's hottest film of the moment, Robert Jan Westdijk's Zusje (Little Sister), was sold in Berlin to Tabu, Arte & Cultura in Brazil, Øst for Paradis in Denmark, Parco Co in Japan, Budapest Film in Hungary and Cinemart in the Czech Republic, with offers pending for Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Austria, France, the UK, Spain and Switzerland.
Fortissimo's Berlin pick-up, Saint Clara, was sold to Geminis in Mexico, with offers pending for many territories, including the US.
- Goldbar Entertainment and Yakov Bentsvi, through his Aurelia Entertainment Group banner, have entered into a multi-picture co-production financing agreement where each of both companies will provide 50% of the financing. All pictures will be in the US$3 to US$5 million range, starring A-list actors.
