Time Cole, recently appointed deputy director of the London Film Festival, announced that this year's 40th edition of the fest is to invite British and US independent filmmakers with scripts and promo materials to attend a two-day event together with directors whose films have been selected for the LFF programme.
"Over the past few years, we have successfully promoted films coming from the burgeoning UK indie sector," said Cole who will be attending AFM to present the new initiative. "This forum will comprise presentations by producers, sales agents and other industry figures from both sides of the water, together with seminars and debates. It will provide opportunities to screen promo material and submit treatments and scripts."
